Thanks to Short and Horny

Dear Dennis,

Your email to me re Steve Irwin reminded me to get back to you in relation to the Gerringong Catholic Ball on August 18. I would like to thank yourself and all the young lads in Short and Horny on behalf of the Gerringong Catholic Ball Committee for your fabulous entertainment on that night. The band had the added pressure of the fact that this year it was a Debutante Ball (we usually have a Debutante Ball every second year) and you had to not only do your usual brackets to keep the crowd on their feet but also had to play background music for the Debs' entrance and play the Pride of Erin and Barn Dance for the formal dances.

All of this you did flawlessly and very professionally.

When the formalities were concluded, you had the crowd up on their feet with your music and they never stopped when you were playing. In the days following the Ball and even now, people have remarked to me how brilliant the band were and how much fun they had. Being a Gerringong local I knew most of the young people there and they enjoyed it as much as the older crowd did.

You really crossed the generations with your music.

The band was a pleasure to deal with and, though I know you had to work hard, we hoped you also enjoyed the night. We would have no hesitation in recommending you guys to anyone hosting a similar function.
